Your Pedicure & Manicure!

Hi Kavya,

You make sure that keeping your nails trimmed is challenging for Dad. Because your mom gives you a sipper of milk both in the morning and in the evening, your nails tend to grow fast. And you promptly put it to use scratching me. As soon as it becomes painful for me, I rush to get your nails trimmed. Your mom never gets into this dangerous pursuit and hence I have been doing this since you were born. I try to distract you by giving you a chocolate or by giving you a toothbrush or toothpaste to hold and nibble. But you make it more and more difficult with time as your attention span is getting shorter by the day.

Anyway, today I tried to cut your finger nails and inadvertently cut a little bit of your skin. This is also because the infant nail cutter went missing and I used an adult nailcutter which wasn’t as fine as the infant one. There was quite a bit of blood. You cried for 2 minutes and then came back to normal. Your mom then took you to Prithika’s house so that it can be a diversion. I am so Sorry Kavya for cutting your skin. I will be more careful next time, I promise.

Why we started this blog?

Hi Kavya,

You might wonder why we started this blog.

We have plenty of pictures and videos of you growing up. However, as time went by, we realized that the stories behind the pictures and videos are becoming hazy to us. We wanted a place where we can add pictures/videos and write the story behind it. That way, the memories are fresh and clear for us to relive when we become 60+!

Moreover, there are many things that happen in your childhood that we couldn’t capture in pictures and videos. The things that you do at the nic of a moment, the thoughts that run in our minds, the words and actions of others that impact you and our family. We wanted this blog to write about those. They are as interesting as the pictures and videos.

All in all, we hope that you love reading this blog when you grow up and enjoy thinking about your childhood!

Getting started with Our Offsprings!

Dad & Mom

Dad & Mom

We (your Dad & Mom) have been always thinking of creating a blogspace to hold memories about how we grew you up. Thus this space got created on Jan 7th, 2009 (Wednesday). We chose the name for this blogspace as “ouroffsprings.com”, totally inspired by your Dad’s addiction for the “Nemo” movie, in which the parent tortoise introduces it’s child as “offspring”.

We hope later when you are big enough to read, you will enjoy reading this blogspace where we have shared our joyful memories & moments.

We love you forever :)
